(no subject)

Well, that was fun kiddies.

I actually managed to get myself to work at 7:30 this morning.  (Go team me!)

Under a half an hour later, we were escorting the guys who were loading and unloading things.

We took a lunch break at 12:00.

At 12:30, Bob (not current project Bob, but past project-tried-to-screw-me-over Bob) came along and said that Candy (my grand boss) said that all the escorts could go.

I called shenanigans on Bob's message, but when I went to another building, it was confirmed.

Of course, I called shenanigans because the movers were standing right outside the doors with piles of boxes waiting to come in.

But, hey, not my problem.

I went upstairs to find my desk.  Sadly, E308 is not my desk.  Well, it is, but I was misguided by the labeling.  Turns out in this building, each cube gets a barcode number and a separate cube number label.

The real E 308 is an inner cube :-(

Edit: As I was leaving, I walked back to the 790 building to dispose of some batteries at the battery recycling station.  As I was going through the building, the security chief came up to me and asked "Where are all the escorts?"  I told him "Candy G." sent us all home.  He said "Who is the Candy G. Person?  We have boxes to move!"

I thne proceeded to leave the building.

For the record, "Candy G." is the director for my activity (That's like, my grand-boss).  If the security guy starts bitching, he's going to be bitching about a higher up.  She screwed the pooch.

And now for your moment of zen...
