oooh! shiny hockey!

Here's an interesting twist on next year's Buffalo Sabres hockey schedule...

They're going to have 6 days of training camp at the ESL Center in Rochester, as well as play a pre-season and regular season hockey game in Rochester. The pre-season game will be against the Blackhawks, and the regular season game (Nov. 12th) will be against the New Jersey Devils. Not a bad deal, especially since Brian Gionta of the Devils (Stanley Cup Champions) is a Rochester native.

In addition, Rochester is going to play one of its home games in Buffalo as part of a special hockey "Double Header". The Amerks will play Hamilton or Toronto (Roadrunners) at 3:30, and will be followed by the Sabres at 7:30. Should be cool!
