Saw a great deal on Fatwallet, $28 at Dell Small Business for the deluxe edition with Federal + efile + State. Ordered online, it was for a digital download. I've had good results with digital download applications from Steam and Intuit (had to update Quicken, since Intuit is ending support for the 2007 version) so I decided to go with the digital download version. The next cheapest price for the physical media was about $34 from Amazon, and $45 in store at Target.
So, after checking out and everything, I get notice that I should receive a link to download the software in my e-mail at the end of the next business day. Of course, this was the 16th of January, and there was a federal holiday on Monday, so it should have been here on the 19th.
Well, since I'm writing this post, you can guess that the software has not yet arrived.
According to updates to the Fatwallet thread, I'm not alone. Reportedly, THERE IS A BACKORDER OF THE SOFTWARE. Yes, that is correct. The DIGITAL DOWNLOAD software is BACKORDERED.
I guess I'm going to have to waste time tomorrow calling Dell. Yay.
